Una casa muy acogedora, limpia y agradable. Un paisaje escocés alrededor precioso y una puesta de sol desde la playa muy próxima, inolvidable. Pero lo mejor, fue conocer a la anfitriona Jane, una mujer encantadora, que hace un desayuno increíblemente bueno y elaborado por ella misma, te atiende siempre con una sonrisa y con paciencia, ya que nosotros no entendemos bien el inglés con acento escocés. If you want a b&b that is in a special place next to Neist Point and Dunvegan, then choose Jane’s Glendale view. Best place to stay with splendid view, very nice host and super breakfast. Better than any hotel! Our recommendation: book directly.

We stayed 2 nights at Glendale View from May 5-7 and I cannot recommend this place enough! Jane was a brilliant hostess, preparing lots of tea and strawberry crumpets the night we arrived which was lovely gesture. The breakfasts Jane prepares are amazing and she was so helpful in helping us decide which hikes/walks to do while we were staying on Skye. The room was spacious and had a very comfy bed and good sized bathroom as well. There was a mini fridge in our room which Jane replenished daily with water, pop, snacks, etc. It was also a very quiet place to stay, which was great for getting a good nights sleep. I would absolutely stay with Jane at Glendale View again! With love from Canada,Colin and Todd.

I stayed here with my husband on our honeymoon and it was fantastic. Jane is so welcoming! She did lots of little things to go out of her way, which really made the trip for us - giving tips about places to go around Skye and making us lots of cups of tea. The room and bathroom were comfy and clean, and the views were absolutely phenomenal. I can't recommend Glendale View enough.

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights as we explored Skye.We have zero complaints - the room was comfortable and clean, breakfast was delicious every morning, and Jane was so welcoming.She had suggestions for our day trips, made us tea and scones one cold windy evening, and was the best host we could ask for.Even made my husband some extra black pudding for breakfast that he was so happy for :-).

If I could rate 6 stars I would. Start off with Jane who is a wonderful host, she makes you feel like a family member right off the bat. The room was exceptional, comfortable bed, lots of space, and all the amenities. The sitting room and dining room have great views and are very comfortable. The food was exceptional - delicious breakfasts with plenty of choices and plenty to eat. We also had dinner one night which was superb and rivaled any of the best restaurants we ate in. This is probably the best B&B we have stayed in and would come back in a heartbeat, wish we could take it with us for the rest of the trip.

The first thing to know is that Glendale View not exactly at the end of the Earth. It's just a bit past that. It is, however, worth the trip! Jane, the owner and proprietor, does an amazing job with great attention to detail. From the bed linens to the amenities, to the streaming services, to the tiny honey pitchers with the morning porridge, she puts thought and attention into the experience and caps it off with good cheer and welcome. Our stay at Glendale View was a highlight of Skye and all of our wanderings across Scotland. Can't thank her enough! Great spot!

Glendale View is the perfect spot to enjoy the natural beauty of Skye. Our guest room was lovely and well appointed with amenities to make the stay comfortable (perfect bed, thick bathrobes, fresh milk for our coffee). Our hostess, Jane, prepared a wonderful breakfast each morning and suggested some picturesque walks/hikes. Prior to arriving, Jane provided an informative document about driving on the narrow sheep filled roads of Skye as well as dining information. Our stay at Glendale View was a delight. Jane is the perfect host. First question after we entered the house: Would you like a tea or coffee? Just a wonderful welcome. We stayed for two nights and it was just phenomenal. Jane is very kind and likes to laugh a lot.The breakfast she cooked and prepared was just delicious. I believe I gained at least a kilogram😊She even cooked dinner for us one night because you have to book a restaurant well in advance.The house is kind of remote, BUT it is very quite and the bed was very good.We would go to Glendale View anytime again.

The stay at Jane's Glendale View was a major Highlight during our trip. It made the 2 nights On Skye special. The remote location adds to the coziness of the B&B. The host couldn't be more charming, entertaining and informative. Additionally, the food was spectacular. Stayed for 3 nights over a long weekend. Beautiful spot, great breakfasts, delightful host and we will be back next year. We had the separate ensuite next to the house and felt like a mini home for our stay. Skye, weather variability aside, is magical.

Our stay with Jane at Glendale Views is almost beyond words. We arrived with stunning weather on a Wednesday afternoon and Jane welcomed us with open arms. It doesn't often happen that you immediately feel at home somewhere, especially if that is abroad. But with Jane, there was an undeniable connection. Like a friend you have not seen for a long time. She went through our plans for the next few days with us and shared her tips on how best to do that. Although we slept in the twin room, a room without breakfast, Jane was flexible and gave us the option to have breakfast after the other guests. Well, we certainly wouldn't have wanted to miss that! The banana pancakes and French toast are delicious. The charcuterie board she made for us on the first evening was also perfect. And all this from the conservatory with the fantastic view of Skye.The room has comfortable beds and a nice modern bathroom. Everything was spotless and even tidied up every day. (Something we didn't know, so our room was a mess when we left for our hike and was all tidied up when we got back.) To our surprise, there was also a small fridge in the room with some nice drinks that Jane replenishes if you need anything drunk. Wow what a service! And all of this Jane does mostly by herself. Amazing, just no words.Some tips Jane shared with us:- Go for a walk in the early morning or during sunset at Nessie Point.- Do the Quiraing Walk (a 3 hour hike) and drive there via the coast.- Have dinner at Chidakasha, an amazing vegan restaurant that serves their food with rare tea's.- Have a walk to coral beach, when the tide is in you will see a group of seals!Jane, thank you so much for our experience at Glendale Views. After leaving Skye to continue our roadtrip we both said 'Aw, we miss Jane already'. No doubt that we will be back!- Martijn & Lotte

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay with Jane in her lovely home. Set in Glendale. Everything met my expectations. The room was very comfortable. The linens were excellent. Sitting room and dining area were very attractive and cozy. Jane is very friendly and accommodating and is also an excellent cook and I ate almost all my meals prepared by her. I would highly recommend the Glendale View, and would have no hesitation in coming back there!

We stayed here 3 nights and enjoyed every minute.Our room was beautiful, the bed super comfortable, and the bathroom was recently renovated to a high standard.The lounge was really nice with very comfortable couch and chairs. The host Jane and her daughter Olivia were so nice and accommodating, the breakfasts were delicious, served hot and filling.They also gave us great advice on things to do on the island and restaurants.However, the best place to have dinner is at Glendale View. You have to schedule with Jane in advance so she has time to get the food and prepare. If you do, you won’t be disappointed. We’ve been here in the UK for 4 weeks and Jane & Olivia’s meal was the best we’ve had!!! The two of them are the best, we loved our conversations and had plenty of laughs too!This one is a must stay if your plans include Skye

We stayed in the suite beside the main bungalow. The quality of the accommodation, furnishings and en-suite for this and the main bungalow really is first class. Jane is a wonderful host friendly and helpful and the breakfasts were just fabulous. The accommodation is set in a remote but peaceful and beautiful location. We would highly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay at the Glendale View. Everything was spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated. Little snacks, drinks and tea and coffee were provided in the room. The breakfast was phenomenal with homemade Granola and homebaked bread. Jane was such a wonderful host and it felt like coming home to a friend, offering you a tea or a coffee and delicious homebaked lemon cake after a long day exploring the Isle. The location was great, remote and far away from it all with great sights like Neist Point, Dunvegan Castle, the Coral Beach and a beach where you could watch the seals on high tide, nearby. Not to forget ist’s a ten minute drive from the famous Three Chimney Restaurant with delicious food and a few minutes from the Chakadasha Restaurant. If you‘re planing to go to the Isle of Skye this is the place to be!

It's a long drive but the host more than makes up for it. She is friendly, helpful and a great cook. Everything is well-maintained and spotlessly clean, especially the bathrooms. Free snacks and drinks in the room. I recommend it highly. It is near the north coast, where most of the sights are, which mitigates the more remote location.

Lovely well cared for accommodation with a charming, helpful and knowledgeable hostess.Something does need to be done about the state of the local roads. Hard work driving anywhere and could have a negative impact on the local economy if not addressed.

Jane was a great host, she recommended various trips and experiences. The breakfast was very tasty. We also ordered dinner, which was very good. The beds were heavenly fabulous. There was plenty of storage space in the bathroom.The water pressure in the shower was really poor, I preferred to wash my hair in the sink :D I would have liked more storage areas/extra table in the room, but I understand that there is not enough space for that

We stayed for three nights in the garden room and everything was fantastic. The room was spotless and very comfortable. The views in the morning and evening are superb through the glass doors (blackout curtains and/or linen can be closed for privacy depending). Jane is a fantastic host who made us feel very welcome. She was free with her recommendations (but I would advise you do your homework first as lots of places need advanced bookings). The breakfast was excellent every morning and we also had dinner on one of the evenings which was delicious. Couldn't recommend the property highly enough! Thank you Jane.

The cottage run by Olivia and Jane is absolutely wonderful. Located near Neist Point Lighthouse it is the perfect place for a stay on the Isle of Skie. The house is cosy. Spacious, clean and confortable room, a glass-enclosed dining room that allows you to enjoy the food and the landscape, set with a wonderful selection of music. The icing on the cake, the excellent hostesses. Jane and Olivia are fun and attentive and make you feel at home. THANK YOU in capital letters.

We stayed for three nights at this wonderful bed and breakfast. The staff was the best, the room lovely and very nice beds. It is a little drive out on the isle of skye but it is worth it! You cannot find a better place to stay and we will hopefully be back!

Our stay at Glendale View and Skye was the best part of our two-week Scotland and England trip. Jane has created a comfortable and welcoming space amongst the natural beauty of Skye. Her room accommodations had everything we needed, and more, and the bed was extremely comfortable. Jane’s breakfasts were outstanding, and the dining space looking out to the hills with sheep wandering about, so peaceful. Jane has a wealth of knowledge about Skye and helped us plan our 3-day stay to maximize the sights we wanted to see with as little backtracking as possible. Glendale View is in a more remote area of Skye and, coming from a major metropolis, that’s what we loved about it. The single track roads through the farmland quickly become second nature and add to the charm of the area. My husband and I highly recommend Glendale View and Jane’s amazing care and hospitality. A definite 5 out of 5!

Glorious location off the beaten track. The room was excellent - all the basics were spot on such as large comfy bed and good plumbing, plus extras - coffee machine, fridge. Lovely modern bathroom. Large well-appointed lounge available. We were made to feel welcome on arrival (say 'yes' when Jane offers cake ) and throughout the stay. Breakfast excellent, and we took up the option of dinner on two nights, both also good. Thoroughly recommended.

Olivia and Louis (Lewis?) made our stay the most memorable of our 10-day trip in Scotland. Having to drive on a very narrow road with some oncoming traffic under pouring rain and average (or so I'm told) winds just made it even more enjoyable to get there and find this beautifully decorated home in the slope looking down on Glendale. Utterly comfortable and spacious, decorated with immense taste, the house has a dining room in a closed glasshouse that allows you to eat surrounded by nature and the elements in perfect comfort and tranquility. Yet, nothing compares to the joyous and caring way Olivia and her friend took care of us. They provided marvelous home made food with professional twists that made us revel and thank God we had find this piece of heaven on earth. Olivia is very congenial and has always good advice wherever you go in Skye and overall Scotland, so do take a note. We did and it made the rest of our journey a box of beautiful surprises. What? No 6 stars? That would be our rating!

Jane was fantastic!! I received a call from a hotel I booked with months ago, cancelling my reservation due to a lack of staff and suggested I call Jane. What a blessing!! Her B&B is a beautiful home nestled in the countryside on the Isle of Skye, only 10 minutes from Neist Point, a must see!!The food was awesome, the room was great and the lines were top hotel grade. We stayed at Glendale view last September and found the garden room the perfect place to stay after exploring the island. The enormous bed, modern shower room and little extras such as kettle, coffee maker and cold drinks in the fridge are all roped up daily. Jane our fabulous hostess cooked a great breakfast each morning to set us up for the day.

Stayed here one night last week, absolutely no complaints, had the garden room which was lovely. One of us had a cooked breakfast and was introduced to the Stornoway black pudding which was to be recommended. The other breakfast was scrambled egg with smoked salmon which was also to be recommended. Jane is a great host. The accommodation is also within walking distance of Chidakasha Skye, where we were booked into eat, so that was a bonus.

Great home made evening meal on the first night, excellent breakfasts, spotlessly clean room. Although location is very remote, it's what you come to Skye for isn't it? The best thing of all is the people. Jane and Florin are wonderful hosts where they strike the perfect balance between efficient service and a friendly welcome. Following a really warm welcome by the owner Jane we were shown to the garden room which was to be a base for the next three nights. Everything about the accommodation was top of the range. The Egyptian cotton sheets, white fluffy towels and bathrobes in the modern bathroom added to the very comfortable environment that Jane had created. Jane also helped with information on local restaurants and places to visit over the huge breakfasts she cooked in the mornings. We have booked again for next year!

The room was clean and tidy. The bed is very comfortable. We arrived very late, the owner waited for us. On our arrival, she was offering us refreshment. The cooked breakfast was too pretty to eat, also delicious. Very appreciated of having us stay at Glen View. Definitely recommended

Jane was so welcoming, after a few nights in hotels it felt like visiting a friend. Our garden room was lovely, separate from the main house so it felt really private and it was modern and clean. Jane cooked us dinner on the first night and it was lovely to have some home cooked food that was really delicious, including home made soup and bread. Breakfast was also really good with some interesting and different things on the menu and as we were leaving early on the last day, Jane made us some sandwiches to take with us which was a lovely touch. I’d really recommend Glendale View if you are planning a stay in Skye.

Absolutely amazing 4 night break at Glendale.Jane welcomed us with homemade scones and a hot drink in the conservatory (just what we needed after 6 hours from the Scottish Borders)Jane was so friendly and chatty but also respected our privacy.Was able to advise on places to go and see and always keen to hear about our days out at breakfast the next day. Breakfast was always delicious- Jane gave us a menu the night before to choose from. Full cooked, crumpets, pancakes, home made granola, fruit salad and fruit smoothies plus lots more. Absolutely brilliant!We booked the garden room which is separate from the main house - it did not disappoint. The room was spotless and had everything you could want and more.... coffee/hot chocolate machine, mini fridge, wine glasses, fresh milk, snacks, robes, toiletries, Egyptian cotton sheets send towels. Jane carried out daily housekeeping each day while we were out too.This was our first time on Skye and I'm so glad we chose Glendale as our base. We got to see so much - Neist Point, Coral Bay, 3 Chimneys Restaurant, Dunvagan Castle,Fairy Pools, Portree, Sligachan and The Old Man of Storr. We will definitely return to Skye and will definitely book with Jane at Glendale.

We stayed 3 days and 3 nights at Glendale view and everything was perfect. Jane was very attentive to details, flexible and provided us with good suggestions of places to visit. She also provided us with all useful information ahead of the trip which helped us in planning properly and also made our trip safe and enjoyable. The room and house was very clean and in a good picturesque location. Breakfast was great with a number of alternatives. WE thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this well appointed, spacious b and b. Jane does a very good breakfast with plenty of berries, the sitting room is comfortable and the breakfast room has lovely views of the the Glendale Valley. The massive garden is well maintained. The treat of a stay here is the fantastic quality bed and bed linen, Jane has the assistance a German hotel ironing machine to achieve this level of luxury. Jane and Florian are warm and enthusiastic and offer good tips on walks, cycling and how to get a parking space.

We had a lovely stay here for three nights in February. Being low season we were the only guests. Jane and Florin could not have been more attentive, from cups of tea whenever we arrived back to the B&B, to lighting the woodburner for us in the spacious and comfortable guest lounge. The room was very well appointed and extremely comfortable. Jane is an excellent cook! Her breakfasts were delicious and we also had one evening meal which was equally lovely. We stayed here as we had a dinner reservation at the nearby The Three Chimneys, and we are very glad we found Glendale View!

What a special place to stay. The house is spotless and Jane is an amazing person. The breakfast was delicious, wonderful bedding. Lovely area with nice walks out their. The place is located near “The Three Chimmneys” an incredible restaurant that needs a reservation far in advance of your arrival. A must!

We spent 6 days on the Isle, staying at Jane‘s B&B. From the welcoming with hot tea to the breakfast for the road because we had to leave early, Jane was an absolutely awesome host, making us feel at home.Her B&B is top-notch, from the comfy beds, superb linens, fluffy towels, to the most delicious breakfast ever. It is immaculately clean, with special attention paid to quality down to the little things. Fabulous.It is located in the northwest of the Isle, almost hidden in the soft hills. Out of the way enough to enjoy the quiet, yet not too far away from highlights such as Neist Point or Dunvegan Castle.If I should visit Skye again, I will definitely stay at Glendale View.

Warm welcome and delicious 3 course meal on our day of arrival. Jane, our host did her utmost to let us feel at home and we did, sitting down in the conservatory and enjoying the meal she’d prepared for us. Next to that my husband was celebrating a special birthday and Jane helped me fulfill the special request, to have a Scottish piper to play some beautiful music on behalf of the birthday guy! Altogether a really nice stay and I would really recommend Glenview B&B with its super comfy beds, great shower ánd super breakfast!

We enjoyed a lot the nice B&B and thesurroundings. They are no less than amazing. Jane served us very good breakfast, and she is a lovely person who is up for a good laugh and chat. We loved her friendliness and straightforwardness.On top of all this, staying at Glendale View you are close to the gorgeous Isle of Skye.

Excellent stay. Welcomed with tea and biscuits. Quiet position. Interesting places to visit nearby. Good choice of breakfast, fresh fruit superb.

We had a most enjoyable time at Glendale View. We could not have been made more welcome or made to feel more at home. Jane is an excellent hostess. When we return to Skye, Glendale View will be our first port of call.

We had 2 very comfortable rooms, basically the whole house, for our 2 nights stay. Jane was a super wonderful host. She made us feel so at ease and our stay at her place like being at home. She’s very meticulous and you can see the neatness of the entire house. Breakfast was amazing. She also gave recommendations of things to do and places to eat. She even helped us with the reservations.Thanks Jane for being a super host.

A warm hospitality full of smiles and delicate cares. The view is magical, the rooms are cosy and the breakfast is made with love. A host with good humored really respectful of everyone's intimacy. Our stay in Skye was delighful, in part because of the warm reception we recieved.
